Dear Gators,

If you are going to loose a game in the "SWAMP" then please, I beg of you, do it when I am not in attendance. And another thing, I would like some kind of compensation for the sunburned "RED NECK" that I now have after sitting in the blazing hot sun all day just to watch you loose to an unranked Ole Miss team.

Sincerely,
A very angry and disappointed Gator fan

OMG!!!!!!!! They did it!!!!!

They slept through the night!! Did you hear me? I said they slept through the night!! WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!!
We put them down at 8pm last night and they woke up at 5am this morning! Now I am not a fan of getting up at 5am but I can go back to sleep so if that's what it takes then I am all about it!
I guess they fussed a little around 2am but Daryl was able to sooth them back to sleep without feeding them!
Now there was something that was a tiny bit different last night. Our friend Justin, who Daryl grew up with, was in town for a job interview and stopped by for a short visit. I was in my room watching the Emmy's and Daryl and Justin ended up putting the boys to bed together. Which was incredibly sweet...picture two country boys carrying babies upstairs and putting them to bed! So maybe Justin has the touch? Who knows! All I know is I am really happy about it!!
Sing with me.... "ALLELUIA,ALLELUIA... and so on!!

The weekend

On Friday we got to see one of my good friends from Delta, Alisha! She was in town with her entire family to enjoy Disney. We headed down after work on Friday to have dinner with her and her hubby. As we were driving to what I thought would be a lovely dinner at Raglan Road we pass Joe's Crab Shack and I thought Daryl was gonna jump out of the car. So me being the nice wife that I am, calls Alisha in hopes that she would shoot down the idea. UH NO, it's her favorite restaurant. Are you kidding me?? What are the chances? So that's where we dined on Friday night. And it will be the last time that I got to Joe's Crab Shack again. I love crab legs but I don't like to work for my food. And the portions were quite small for the price. But the company was great and it was so good to see Alisha. We go way back at Delta. We met flying together and I always said it was bad for her and I to fly together because we had too much fun on the airplane and especially on layovers. We both had a long SFO layover years ago and I think it was the most fun I have ever had on a layover. I saw Alcatraz with Alisha and that in itself was an experience I will never forget. Alcatraz is kinda creepy but I think I laughed for 3 hours while we were there.

Also the Gators kicked some more butt last night beating the Tennessee Vols!! Looks like I may be going to the game next weekend! Woohooo!!! And Daryl is planning on staying home with the boys for a guys day! haha!

Visit from Old Friends

My friends Ron and Corey stopped by to visit on Monday. We haven't seen each other in about 2 years because they moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. They were both in town for Corey's cousin's wedding.. Ron stepped right in and held Carter on his own which is impressive for a man to do. Most guys don't want anything to do with holding a baby! I thought it was really cute!

Drop and give me 20

Love these pics. It's like they are both saying "Too easy drill Sergeant!"

Horrible morning

Ugh, I am never going to another Doctor's appt alone again! We had to go back to the eye doctor today for another check up on their eye development and I am happy to report all is good! But the wait before we got in was DREADFUL!! They both decided to have meltdowns at the same time. And I mean inconsolable meltdowns. Cameron kept spitting up everywhere so I had that to deal with too. I would hold one while the other screamed, then switch them out and it went on like that for about 30 minutes. To make matters worse, the techs kept coming out to dilate their little eyes so that just pissed them off even more. I actually started to get choked up because I was just overwhelmed with anxiety! EVERYONE was staring at me or giving me that "oh you poor thing" look and I was just over it!! I would laugh then cry a little then just laugh again cause I didn't know what the hell to do. AWFUL I tell you!! And to let you know, there was absolutely no reason for them to be upset. They just did not want to be in those car seats and did not want anything to do with eye drops. But I can't say I blame them.
They finally calmed down once we got into the exam room and they were perfect babies the rest of the morning. And they are FINALLY napping. Praise Jesus!!

I've done it again

I got bored with the old layout so I changed it up again! Don't get me wrong because I love me some Orange and Blue but I just wasn't feeling it on the blog anymore. Variety is the spice of life right? Unfortunately there is a stupid shameless website plug stuck in my blog now but I suppose I can deal with it.

I drug Daryl out of bed nice and early this morning so we could go out for a good breakfast. For some reason I have been craving a big hearty breakfast lately. We went to Mimi's Cafe in Altamonte and it was FABULOUS! We got there before the churchies (no offense to my church going friends) so the place was like a ghost town. I highly recommend the pancakes. The best pancakes I have ever had. Seriously!! And for the first time we used slings for our car seats. These were the neatest little contraptions. I had heard of them from Alan but had never been to a restaurant that actually offered them until today. You need all the space you can get when you are trying to squeeze 2 gigantic car seats into a booth or on a chair.

We also celebrated "Gammy's" bday this weekend. Gammy is my mom. We went out to lunch at one of my favorite places (how convenient for me.hehe) P.F. Chang's! Happy Birthday Mom!

GO GATORS!!

We had a small get together on Saturday to watch the Gators kick Miami's butt! Well maybe I should rephrase that. We watched Florida kick Miami's butt in the 4th qtr. It was exciting for me to be back home in Florida to watch a game rather than be in enemy territory like we were in Atlanta. That was rough last year being the only person in a bar or at a party cheering for my team! And for most of last season I was pregnant so not able to partake in adult beverages like I am now. hehe!!

Here are a few pics of my Gator family. And for the record, I made Daryl wear the blue shirt. I actually made him change clothes because initially he had on some stupid striped shirt and I was like "Oh no I don't think so!! It's blue shirt day for you mister"!!

The boys enjoyed the game for the whole 30 minutes that they were up for it.
Oh and please excuse the spit up stains all over the boys and Daryl. It's a losing battle for us to try and keep up with the spit up.

Good News!!!

Got the call from the doctor today and the boys' hips are fine! No displaysia!! I am so relieved!

The World's Largest Peanut Boil

Just had to share the pic to prove that it's really true.

Carter is just like Daddy

Cameron is just like Mommy

Our weekend of "firsts"

We headed back to Alabama to see all of Daryl's family this past weekend. It was the first time the boys had been to see where daddy comes from! It was also the first time the boys traveled in a car for more than 2 hours and it went great. They did great I mean. Our trip home was a little hairy after getting stuck in a huge back up on I-10 for two hours due to a fatal accident. Our 7 hour trip turned into a 9 hour trip that we had decided to make Sunday night instead of Monday to avoid weather and catch up on some rest. Boy did that backfire on us! We got into Orlando at 4:30am. Ya. Nice.

We also got to experience the worlds largest peanut boil. And yes I have been eating boiled peanuts for 4 days straight. Not the greatest way to loose baby weight but darn they are good!

The boys also attended church for the first time and met all of the Richburg family. They spent lots of time with their big cousins Ben and Luke. Aunt Lori and Uncle Bo watched the boys Saturday night so Daryl and I could hang out at our friend Kristy's engagement party without them. We had a great time!

Another first for us was the boys attending their first high school football game. They did ok. It was very hot and VERY loud. People in Alabama take their high school football very seriously. I was having convulsions the whole time as I watched person after person and kid after kid come up and touch and kiss on the boys. All I could think was germs, germs and MORE germs. So far so good on the health front though.

I still haven't heard about the xrays but as soon as I do I will let everyone know.
