Happy New Year!!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I know we did- but it was very busy. A lot of driving for poor Daryl. I use the "Im pregnant" excuse for just about everything including driving so I can get out of it!

Well to update on the house- we are actually closing today at 1pm. So Daryl and I have to go sign our lives away this afternoon. Things got a little messed up last week so we had to postpone till today.

As for me- well my appetite is SLOWLY coming back. I no longer crave Totino's party pizzas- and thank god for that cause those are fattening little suckers. I am actually able to cook dinner now and enjoy it. But now we are into the headache stage which is miserable because there is no relief from it. Doctor says its from pressure, hormones and the dryness in the air. (should have stayed in Florida I know!!) I am also enjoying the wonders of schiatic nerve pain in the back which does not bode well for a flight attendant on her feet all day. I feel like I am falling apart just about every day.

So whoever says "pregnancy is a beautiful thing" can kiss my @#$!!!!!!!

We have a heartbeat!!!!

We heard the heartbeat for the first time today!! It was really amazing!! Sounded strong and fast- all good things. We wont have our first ultrasound until about 6 more weeks. Then we will find out what it is- and I am hoping for a girl and of course Daryl wants a boy. (it figures). But of course- as long as it is healthy we will both be happy:)

13 weeks and feeling worse?? Wait a minute.

OK, so I have been told for the last 12 weeks that I would start feeling better in the days to come. Well let me just say - thats not the case. I have not had any vomiting at all- UNTIL NOW!!! What the heck? Apparently having a personal pitty party and boo-hooing to the husband doesnt do much for the tummy. Maybe it was the little peanut having her last hurrah. Mabye she was saying "ya know mom, you have had it kinda easy in the first trimester so to mark the end of it, Im gonna stir up your belly and celebrate!!" Well whatever it was- it sucks!!!

Oh, and it looks like they accepted our 2nd offer on the house with a few stipulations. We will know more on Monday but its looking good!!!

Can you say Craving??

So I was on the phone with a friend earlier in the day and she mentioned Thai food for dinner. It sparked my interest because I have never eaten Thai food nor ever had the desire for it. But I guess baby Richburg wanted a little spice in her life- so needless to say I had Chicken Curry tonight and it was really good. Maybe we will have another adventurous eater in the family just like "poops". (poops is my dad if anyone is wondering)

The last 12 weeks have been challenging to say the least. The morning sickness that really should be called "all day sickness" has been bad but I know a lot of people have it a lot worse. I have totally lost any desire for food that is the least bit healthy. I am considering buying stock in Totino's party pizzas because that is now my favorite food on earth. For those that know me, you know I am a huge fan of pasta - and it doesnt matter what kind- but now I despise it. And that in itself is shocking enough!!!

Daryl has been handling the mood swings- well sorta!!! (Im kidding Daryl) Oh and he is planning on letting his belly get big along with mine. That way we can both have big bellies!! Oh I can't wait!!
